My Travel Makeup Bag
Choosing what makeup products to bring on a travel is kinda hard. Really, it's hard. I was one of those people who would bring my entire collection on a trip. Yes, I was ridiculous like that. Haha! I used to bring my makeup collection on trips when I was college; when I was just started collecting makeup and got addicted to them. I have always brought stuff that I haven't even used on my travels. It was unwise and wasn't practical at all. I already my learned my lesson and I am very much confident that my travel makeup bag nowadays contains products that are multi-functional, light to carry and versatile in terms of color and usability.
I am showing you today the makeup items that I brought when we traveled to Boracay Island (link here) last month. Most of the products I brought were the makeup items I am currently panning in 2018. The only bag I brought with me to store my makeup is the one shown above. You might be wondering why it's small and how could worth of full-faced makeup products have fitted in there, right? I am the type of person to travel lightly and I don't want anything unnecessary or things I know I won't be using on the trip. Anyways, I have this makeup bag since 2015 and it's my favorite to travel with. I know the faux leather has already peeled off on some parts but I just can't let go of this one yet. Haha!
I stored the brushes I brought in this little brush pouch that came in when I purchased a makeup brush set a long time ago. Keep the guys, they're really useful in travels or makeup gigs you have. I know this pouch is a mini one and the brushes I could bring are limited to a lesser quantity; I love it though because I get to pick the brushes that I really love and use them on more than one purpose.
Face Brushes
- Mini blush brush - I this for my mini blush from the The Balm California Palette which will be shown on the late part of this post. Then pan is really small, it's like a sample blush and my regular-sized blush brushes doesn't pick up a lot of products if use them on that particular product. I also used this to apply the loose setting powder I brought on the trip.
- E.l.f Blush Brush - I used this to contour and bronze my face. It's a blush brush it works just fine on contouring my face as well.
- Large eyeshadow brush - Though it's meant to be an eyeshadow brush, I use this to apply highlighter on my face. It blends the product really well and the bristles are soft. This is my new favorite highlighter brush.
Eyebrow Grooming
- I brought the spoolie to brush my brows and an angled liner brush to apply shadow on my brows. I live for a natural look and these tools give the best natural effect.
Eyeshadow Blending
- Wet n' Wild Crease Brush - The best crease brush ever! I need to try their other brushes. What do you recommend?
- Target Smudger Brush - I used this to blend the shadows below my lower lash line.
- San San Eyeshadow Brush - I used this to blend the shadows on my upper lids and crease, to smooth out the harsh lines.
Eyelid Brushes
- Angled Liner Brush - I used this to set my eyeliner with a black eyeshadow
- Pencil Brush - I used this to blend shadows on my outer-v
- Flat Shadow Brushes - I used this to blend
Yeah, those are the only makeup brushes I brought on my trip. I also two sponges to blend my foundation which I already threw away. It's gross to show you guys my dirty sponges. Haha!
Eyebrows
- Avon Eyebrow Duo in Deep Brown - This isn't my color anymore but this was the I brought since it didn't take a lot of space on the bag
- E.l.f. Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown - Again, this isn't my color anymore. I don't like the formula but this in my Project Pan 2018 so I brought it.
Primer, Mascara and Liners
- E.l.f. Eyeshadow Primer in Sheer - My holy grail eyeshadow primer! This is my 3rd one.
- Essence Long Lasting Eyepencil in Black Fever - I like this eyeliner, not the best one but stays on my eyelid all day. It doesn't last long on my waterline.
- Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in C'est Levie - a metallic silver that lasts all day on my waterline.
- LOL Cosmetics Auto Eyeliner Pencil in Sea of Love - I thought this was perfect for the beach vibes. This is also included on my Project Pan
- MAC Haute & Naughty Lash - It's not amazing, but isn't bad though. This is the only mascara I have that hasn't gone bad so this is the one that I brought.
Eyeshadows
- These palettes look familiar because the #SELFIE Palette is the one I'm using for my Pan That Palette 2018 (link here) and the Ever Bilena Brown Palette is included on my Project Pan Porn 2018 (link here). I won't be showing the shadows since they will spoil my upcoming project updates. :)
Lippies
- Pinkies Collection Lasting Lip Liner in Galactic - This isn't included on my project pan. I just brought it to have a cool toned brown lip liner. It's so creamy!
- Avon Simply Pretty Lip Liner in Nude - It's a nice warm nude shade. I have already thrown this away because it's old and pretty close to being gross. :D
- Lipz Diva Creamy Matte Lipstick in Like A Virgin - My go-to pink shade for everyday use.
- MAC Matte Lipstick in Love Me - Another pink nude option that I brought. It's creamy and smells so sweet!
- Essence Sheer Lipstick - A dark red almost lip-gloss lipstick that looks nice on top of lip liners. This is included on my project pan as well.
- Careline Liquid Lipstick in Glaze - My favorite nude mauve lip shade! So versatile it pairs well with different lip liner shades.
Blush, Highlight, and Bronzer
- The Balm Autobalm California Palette - The blush and highlight is included in my Project Pan. The blush has a pink flush which is suits my light skin. The highlight looks pretty when blended. Love the combo!
- Fashion 21 Blush Duo - I used this warm up my skin.
Base, Foundation, Concealer and Setting Powder
- Olay Natural White Day Cream in Light - I used this as a moisturizer
- Missha Layer Blurring Pore Cover Primer - a silicon-based primer that works pretty well in making my makeup last all day
- Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation in Warm Nude - I like this foundation and thought it would be nice to bring this with me to Boracay
- Ever Bilena Perfect Undereye Concealer - A thick concealer for daily use
- 3CE Clinic Professional Natural Makeup Powder - I haaaattttteeee this powder. It clings on to the dry patches on my skin. I'm trying to use this up as part of my Project Pan.
Those are the makeup items I brought on my travel to Boracay. It was a 4-day trip and the amount of products I brought were fit for the days we were there. I wanted to keep my makeup really simple and basic since I'm not comfortable doing my makeup when I'm not on my own house. I tend to be conscious and shy doing my makeup around with my workmates. Who feels the same way? Haha!
Please stay tuned for my next posts because I will share my update for the Pan That Palette and the makeup items I have decluttered. I have been feeling uninspired lately that's why I haven't posted in almost 3 weeks. I apologize for my absence! I hope you liked this post and If you have anything to share or suggest, please leave me a comment. Thank you much for stopping by. Have a nice day ahead! XOXO
